Not much happened today. Nothing worth blogging about, honestly, but I've been using this place as a diary, as much for myself as for the people who might be interested, so I'm trying to keep up.

In the morning, I selected some papers for the first baby book I'm going to make. Then I baked a cheesecake, using this recipe as the basis, but with a different filling, because I had a box of this thing that was already beyond its "best before" date and needed to be used up. So I combined the two recipes and the result was a very yummy cake, although it didn't look half as good as the one in the recipe.

In the afternoon, I watched some telly ([livejournal.com profile] meathiel, I thought of you, as Zuhause im Glück had its re-runs, plus some of ARD's zoo series, which I love), typed up another chapter from the (hopefully) paid translation, and now I'm about to watch a few YouTube videos about baby books for inspiration.

Really not an exciting day, but again, Saturday rarely is. Even when I worked, it was the day when I stayed in, and we did the weekly laundry. *g*

New "joys": Dreamwidth refuses to accept my new LJ password, although I've updated it. They're apparently still processing my request, but it means that I can't import the last week's worth of LJ entries to DW. Joy.
Edit: I might have wrestled LJ and DW into talking each other. Still waiting for the import to be finished, but now I do have some tentative hope that it actually might be done. *fingers crossed*

Also, more FF.Net oddities: when I'm trying to read anything, even my own stories on FF.Net, huge ads are inserted within the chapter texts. When I'm trying to read on my iPad mini, there aren't. Unfortunately, reading on an iPad mini anything that's longer than a quick e-mail is a killer on the eyes. *sigh*

Saturdays can be like that. For my part I spent time with two of my friends and a person who is a friend of one of my friends. It was nice and would have been nicer if the wind had been warmer. But it is not in my power to decide the weather.

I envy you for being able to regularly see people. I wouldn't dare to do so, in fear that I might bring home the virus to Mum.

It would be a sad day if either of you caught the virus, not to mention some other virus or bacteria. I guess it is an advantage of living alone, I can´t pass anything on to anyone else at home. Sending hugs to both of you.
