Despite yesterday, which was a great one, this week is shaping up to be another one full of stress. Today, we took another calculating risk, aka had the chiropodist lady come - some things just need to be done. Unfortunately, her visits also mean total mental meltdown - she just likes to talk really much, and after two hours and a half my brain just goes numb.

Then I got an e-mail from Vodafone again, reminding me that my contract has to be renewed. I really hope that it is the actual contract I made with UPC last year, in which case it hopefully wouldn't be too complicated to renew. With UPC, it usually cost a phone call. But since Vodafone swallowed UPC, everything is different.

I refused to deal with it on top of our talking machine. (I mean chiropodist lady. Bad me!) So I'll call Customer Sevice tomorrow and try to reason with them. Today I'll be free all day; I hope it will be enough. Wish me luck.

The only positive aspect of the day was that I dug out the saved tins (from tomato sauce and suchlike) and made good progress with turning them into pencil holders. Only a few decorative elements are still needed, then will be done. Pics coming up when they're finished, but I'm fairly content with them already.

Gah, I'm brain dead. Mum says I worry too much and my nerves will do me in, and she's probably right. But the stress factor has seriously increased last time, and I'm always terribly nervous when I have to deal with Customer Service and other morbid outgrowths of bureaucracy. *sigh*

I hate calling the hotline even in normal times when I'm not stressed ...

... because it gets you stressed in no time, doesn't it? *g*

I always feel that, for so many things, 'customer service' is a bit of a misnomer!

I think it's a difference of interpretation. They probably believe that it's the customer who ought to serve them!

I hate making phone calls at the best of times, but calls to big business often turn me into a trembling mess.

It stresses me out all day having to make an "official" phone call and this crisis is stressful enough as it is.

{hugs} I hear you, those calls are stressful enough at a time when we are NOT already dealing with tension....

Those conversations are always stressful for some reason. The worst are when you have to talk to a robot first in order to speak to an actual person. By that time, frustration is already rampant. Hope it is not too bad tomorrow.

It's the rule nowadays to talk to a robot first and listen to countless information that's of no use at all!
