Okay, I have a really nerve-wrecking week behind me. At least I hope it is behind my already. *fingers crossed*
On Monday, I've cleaned the pantry shelves, hunting for a possible moth invasion. Fortunately, I didn't find anything, but it was an exhausting morning.

On Tuesday, I had a totally useless trip, as I found the newspaper shop where I buy my German tv programme magazine and my crossword puzzles closed. No info if they've closed for good, temporarily, changed their opening order or whatnot. This was the only shop that kept these magazines that I know of. Now I have no idea how to proceed.

On Thursday I had 45 minutes of my life wasted on Vodafone about the supposed information they never mailed to me and three incompetent males of Customer Service didn't have a clue what I'm supposed to do.

On Friday I had the phone marathon with the insurance lady that left me in a basically catatonic state.

On Saturday, I got the e-mail about password change from LJ and I've been in a real state of mind ever since. Also, something around the satellite must have been acting up because my telly was unreliable all afternoon. Today it's back to normal again, so there isn't anything wrong with the receiver, but it wasn't a reassuring thing. We had strong winds this week, and my satellite dish is on top of our 10-storey building, with the cable hanging down to us (we live on the second storey), with only two fastenings, so it's always reason for concern.

Add the virus concern and my decaying teeth I don't know when will be finally treated, and you can see that I'm really no longer made for this kind of stress.

I could send you the magazines if that helps.

That is very kind of you. I might ask for help, should they really close for good. I still hope they don't, though, and until there is hope I'll just check the tv programme online.

I can see why you were stressed about the lj letter. It was the last straw. I hope life starts to look up for you soon and that the shop closure is only temporary.

Mental exercise: crumple last week into a tight little ball and throw it out the window!

Moths: So glad you didn't find moths, but are you saying you've spotted some flying around? The pantry does sound like the culprit. Those little beasties can come in with flour, so remain vigilant!

The corner shop: I sincerely hope it was a coincidence it was closed. Will you try again tomorrow? If it's truly closed, I would think they'd have a notice posted. May luck be in your favor.

Vodafone: Phooey on them.

Insurance: See Vodafone.

LJ Pwd: I got that reminder too. And they're (LJ) right - in this environment, out-of-date passwords are not a good thing. I'm changing mine this time around.

Satellite: How annoying when wind and weather knocks the reception out. We have cable, but my sister has a satellite, and says it's bad during storms. I wonder if yours can be better secured.

Teeth: Can you get a fluoride rinse, some sort of enamel strengthener in the interim until you can get in to your dentist? I don't know how much it will help, but it might.

Mental exercise: Close eyes. Search for remaining feelings of frustration. Imagine writing each on a sticky note, and lighting the sticky note on fire. Do not do this indoors, even if it's pretend.

Ouch. {{{hugs}}}

So that's your personal satellite dish, or do you share?

You have been in the wars, haven't you? {hugs} The added tension in the air doesn't help, of course...

What a horrible week.

May this one be a good deal pleasanter and less frustrating. I'm guessing we all have a long way to go to reach 'really good and frustration-free' yet!

It is a personal one, because I need German telly so that I won't forget the language, and we don't get much of that via cable.

And maybe you can even order it online?

Fortunately, the newsagent's didn't close for good. I'm horribly incapable of online shopping or generally doing anything online, so it's a relief that I can keep buying my magazines in person.
