Oh, joy!

Apparently, the Safari on my iPad mini no longer can connect with the server of AO3. Meaning: I can't even reach the site. Ironically enough, I can reach insecure AO3, some sort of parallel site or whatnot - only that it won't let me log in with my AO3 username and password. So, I can read on the parallel site, but that's all about I can do.

At first I really panicked that now AO3 no longer will be available to me. Fortunately, even my geriatric laptop (twice the age of my iPad mini) can reach it, as it runs both Firefox and an ancient version of IE. So I can log in and update and everything. Still, the whole thing is mysterious. AO3 status states that older devices (like old iPhones) can't reach the site after some new, very secure... thingy they did, and granted, my iPad is about five years old, but still...

Ah, well, as long as I can reach AO3 from my PC I'm saved. It is a tad annoying, though. I know there are bigger tragedies, especially now, but it is hard to give up some of your creature comforts.

In other news, I baked the coconut lambs today (pictures coming up tomorrow), did, some translations for the (hopefully) paid job and spoke to three different people on the phone.

Oh, and we changed the beds on schedule, which brought back some normalcy into our lives in these maddening times.

Can you recommend an Easter cookie recipe that keeps well and can be baked by a moron? Asking for a friend...

I have desiccated coconut, I mean... my friend has it.

Sure, let them try my coconut lambs.

Ingredients:
200 g butter or margarine
200 g icing sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 egg
300 g flour
150 g coconut flakes

For the decoration:
50 g white chocolate
50 g coconut flakes

How to do it:
- cream together butter and sugar
- stir in the egg
- add dry ingredients and knead the dough until smooth
- let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes

- roll out the dough 3 mm thick
- cut out the shapes
- bake them in a pre-heated oven (200°C) for 5-10 minutes
- let them cool completely

- melt the white chocolate
- paint your cookies with it
- press the cookies into the coconut flakes
- let them dry until the chocolate is solid again

And that is basically it. If your friend doesn't have a lamb-shaped cookie cutter, they could make the lambs completely round and out on two almond halves as ears and chocolate chips as eyes.

Like these, just in white, and without applying the heads separately:
