And really, I don't know why. I had a fairly good day, as eventless days of these times go. I even got out of the flat, which is a blessing... I was getting cabin fever. Of course, the fact that I've mistaken half past eight for half past seven and got to the post office 45 minutes before opening didn't help. I was so annoyed with myself that I turned around and went home.

Hunting trips are being made a bit complicated by the fact that there are now assigned shopping times. People older than 65 years are supposed to do their shopping between 9am and noon. I'm not 65 yet, and I prefer to go to the shops when the little air within them isn't full of germs yet, so I usually try to be there by opening time. But Aldi no longer makes up at 7pm, while pharmacies don't open before 8pm, either - some of them an hour later - so I have to plan my trips very carefully. Having forgotten when some of the places open isn't really practical. :((

Coming home, I worked a bit on translating the prologue to "The Billion Year Voyage" - I've picked up such a good speed with it during [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo, I didn't want to lose my momentum - as well as on the other translating job, the one I (hopefully) get paid for. I even typed up some of the stuff, so that I wouldn't have so much transcribing to do later on.

And I had very nice phone chats with three different (ex-)colleagues. All in all, it was a good day, so I don't know what's wrong with me. Aside from the fact that the holes in my teeth won't close on their own, of course, and there's no way to tell when my dentist will open her practice again. *sigh*

Yes. My dentist will only open for emergencies...although they have not said what constitutes an emergency. Check out your local supermarket sites online. They will probably list their shopping 'rules' and opening times.

They do, but it doesn't help if I mix up half past seven and half past eight. *g* Not their fault.

As for dental emergencies, my dentist said they only open for patients who has inflamed teeth and lots of pain. Which I, fortunately, don't have. Yet.

We do, from time to time. *hugs back*
I feel really ungrateful, since I'm basically fine, but still couldn't help feeling down sometimes.

I guess they chose that time because some younger people are still working in the morning? Personally I think it's not a bad idea. They should do that here as well.

It is a good idea. I'm just still too young to benefit from it. *g*

I've had days like that, too. I know I'm lucky and in a good situation, but there are times when the doldrums seem to be winning.

I was feeling quite depressed lately, too. I think it's hard not to at the moment. I hope you're feeling better today.

I feel for you. The weather here has been mild and balmy, with for the most part, lots of sunshine. That helps, but we've had our share of down moments.
