Saturday morning baking frenzy

To my defence, it was for saving foodstoff that would have gone wrong otherwise, I swear! And the whole thing was done in a little more than just three hours, honestly. Still, it says a lot about my state of (nonexistent) sanity, I think.
The results:

The excuse:
You see, it all started with having to use up some leftover grated cheese, yeast and pumpkin seeds. So I decided to bake the quick and easy cheesy buns (in the middle of the picture), adding some crushed pumpkin seeds. So far, so good, it takes about 40 minutes, especially as the cheese was already grated.
But then I had an egg white left (from putting egg yolk on top of the buns), and Mum also had one from the apple soup that she thickens with egg yolk and creme freche. Throwing out two egg whites is just not the thing we do if we can avoid it, so I decided to make some financiers (on the right side of the picture), adding some grated almonds and hazelnuts and peanuts to the basic recipe, which I had fished out of the muesli, as Mum can't eat them due to her weak teeth. We don't throw out leftover nuts, either. So far so good again, financiers are easy to make, too.
However, when I bought creme freche for the buns, I wasn't paying attention and bought yogurt instead. Now, what to make with the yogurt? Not to mention to the two packages of really old dried plums I found on the pantry shelf yesterday? Well, baking muffins, of course! With the leftover brown sugar I haven't touched for at least a year or longer. So anyway, I made the muffins, too (on the left side of the picture), and we had cookies, buns and muffins for lunch and for supper, as they ought to be eaten, too.
We may be a somewhat unconventional household, but at least we aren't wasteful! *g*
