Today we had a very intense choir practice with the Oldies, as tomorrow afternoon we've got a gig. It's the opening of a photo exhibition of a 90+year-old gentleman. Our district has this so-called Silver network, meaning that retired people participate in various activities (like the Oldies choir), and then display their talents and knowledge and stuff. So we go and sing a bunch of light-hearted songs on the opening, take some cookies with us and everyone is supposed to have a good time. The whole thing won't take longer than an hour, but we wanted to deliver a good show, so we had extra long practice today.

The weather was lousy enough for me not to want to go to the Allee shopping centre as originally planned (because it has one of the best craft shops in town, and also easily can be reached via tram). So I came directly home and attacked the remaining easter eggs, finishing half of those still in pieces. Afterwards, I spent quite some time with ordering the lovely trimmings I got from [livejournal.com profile] elwenlj, so that I'll be able to store them in a practical way, once I'm finished. They've been hanging like sea tang from my bookshelves ever since they arrived, like this:

And as funny as the sight is, it isn't a long-time solution, really.

After dealing with my "sea tang" I decided to watch some telly, for the sake of my German vocabulary, and promptly fell asleep in front of it. Mum woke me up with a life-saving cup of coffee two hours later or so. It doesn't matter, though; they say that your subconscious takes in the information while you're sleeping. *g*

Other than that, not much happened in these two days. A great deal of tension fell away from us all, now that the ball is over, but knowing our choir directors (both of them), this is just the calm before the storm. ;))

Current egg coung: 35/40. Go me!

Thanks. :) It's just a small one, so we aren't overly stressed about it. I can't wait to be through with the eggs, though. The bigger - much bigger - project is the doll house quiet book, and I'm not even halfway down the road with that one. Fortunately, the recipients' grandmother is a patient soul and told me on Saturday that if I won't get it done till Easter the kiddies would be just as happy with it at Lena's birthday, a few months later. *g*

It's nice to know you have some wiggle room with the dollhouse. It's like me with Fred's hat. Better to take your time and do a good job than rush it and wish you hadn't.
