Now that I've run out all excuses and even managed to sleep through last night (well, more or less) I returned to the Doll House quiet book project full time. It is based on this one:

Which means, the pages are basically the same, only with different colours and slightly altered decoration. I chose this quiet book as a template because it seemed relatively easy to make, even though I'll use a much more difficult binding technology (the same one I used for Theo's quiet book) because I use felt for most of the page bases, not fabric.

In any case, I've done the clothes trunk and clock pages and am working on the front cover right now, sewing on clouds. If I've counted correctly, it will have an entirety of 12 pages (6 double-sided pages, that is), so clearly, I have a lot of work in front of me yet; and it's supposed to be finished by Easter. We'll see.

Mum and I didn't cook today. We went to the Auchan supermarket after church and ate at il Treno's - giant pancakes, yum! I spent some money on craft supplies (because hello, new project, right?), managed to buy the wrong tv magazine (because I'm a bloody fool who can't make a difference between nurTV and tvPur) and got a belated Christmas gift from Mum: a stricked dark maroon dress, which I'm going to wear as a tunic with black leggings when I have to look a bit more sophisticated than I usually do. Like on the charity ball.

I'm still coughing quite a lot and have a stuffy head (especially during night) but I'm beginning to tentatively hope that I might actually getting better! *fingers crossed*

It is really cool. At the moment I first saw this video I knew I'll have to make a quiet book like this. Fortunately, there are enough small kids in the family and by friends that I can always find someone whom to give these things.

That's great that they will have a place to go.

Doesn't sounds as if you are REALLY getting better, dear! Take care of yourself and take it easy.

Giant pancakes with what? Or just pancakes?

I'm glad you're feeling better, enough to get out for some fresh air.

Well, I didn't really have the choice. After not leaving the house for days, we simply had no more food, so we had to shop for groceries. *g*

Glad to see you are slowly on the mend. The quiet books are really cool, good luck on this one.
