Save for the fact that we overslept today. I muted the phone alarm at 8 am and managed to wake up at 9:30. Which wouldn't be a problem, as we didn't intend to go anywhere today, but I have to utilize the morning hours for my craft projects as natural light doesn't last long in the afternoon. At half past three it was already dark... well, mostly.

In any case, I worked on my Russian dolls in the morning again. All important pieces for the next 22 dolls are cut out and the colours matched... more or less. I've pinned them to the doll bases with paper clips, so I can easily recombine the colours, should I change my mind in the process. The last two dolls only have the bases so far, but the day isn't over yet, and when in doubt, I do even work at lamplight. *g*

The nice surprise of the day was that the thimbles [livejournal.com profile] wanderingmogwai sent me have finally arrived. I must have made a typing mistake when I gave her my address; fortunately, our post delivery person is the rare kind that knows everyone in the street and snatched the package for me before it could have been sent back. Phew!

I've managed the odd page of translation in the early afternoon, before it would turn totally dark. Then I baked a wonderful Hefezopf, to use up leftover yeast before it would go wrong and other bits of baking rests. Other than that, I watched some telly while solving crossword puzzles (at the same time), and the day was over. Where does all that time go, and why does it go so fast?

Sounds like a really nice day. Not too rushed and the light 💡 was used to best effect. Ju

Thanks. :) Actually, it's a good thing that I have to use the morning light, or else I'd become really, really lazy. I enjoy the morning hours in bed most. Of course, seeing that I never go to bed before midnight (or even later - much later sometimes) I need to have my sleep somewhen. ;))

Indeed. One needs luck, if one doesn't have brains. *g*

Haha ... the pensioner who complains about sleeping in.
You have all the time in the world - so why pressure yourself?

Tight schedules, my friend. Those dolls require a lot if time-consuming work.
