The fair is tomorrow, and I haven't managed to make everything I had in planning, but I'm going to have a wide-spread offer anyway, so I'm content with my work. I'll take my iPad with me and have someone take my photo, together with the whole display.

But I've promised you piccies from Bärli #1 and the rest of the Santa's socks, right? Well, here is Bärli - he didn't turn out quite as well as the rest of the teddies (something with the stuffing, I think), but he's cute enough. See for yourselves:

And the rest of Santa's socks:

I'm quite pleased with these, actually. They were a lot of work, at least a day and a half each, and my eyes are fairly burning at the moment, as I've finished the last one less than an hour ago, but they turned out well. Mum and I voted which ones will stay for at least a year with us, to decorate the Christmas tree, and selected 6 between us. The other 11 are going to the fair tomorrow. And if I don't get them sold, I can always give them away as gifts.

In truth, I've got the basics cut out for ten or so more, and I might sew a few of them for us later. I don't like leaving things unfinished. But at least I won't be under such stress with those... and if I don't get them done, there's always next year, right?

We had choir rehearsal today, in the church where the concert will take place on Saturday. It went well enough, although such rehearsals are always hectic, due to the presence of the kiddies. I hope both fair and concert will go well. We've worked so hard for both.

I have. My burning eyes and calloused fingertips are the proof. *g*

BTW, I got your lovely card today. Thank you so much! I'm afraid I didn't have the time to make cards this year. I'll better my ways next year... or at least I'll try.

Glad it arrived safely, that one somehow seemed right for you and your mum. As you can see, I didn't get any c cards made either, but like you, maybe next year.

I'm suffering sore hands myself, I have 12 more knitted pumpkins to stuff, working on them has set my arthritis off but I will get them finished regardless, then get to work knitting ghosts. Crafting is worth the blurred vision and sore hands though, right?

Oh, I absolutely agree! Will there be pictures about the pumpkins?

Eventually. I still have to stitch faces on all 52 of them though... The were only supposed to be 50 but it seemed silly not to use up the end of the ball of wool.

*nodnod* That's how harmless-looking little craft projects escalate into uncontrollable monsters. There are always supplies left one doesn't have the heart to simply throw out. *eyes huge heaps of paper, felt and thread warily*

I have a room full of craft supplies, and yet I keep wondering if I should get more felt for forthcoming projects. Plus I have a whole chest full of cross-stitch fabric waiting to be used. Still, it's good to know we always have something interesting to do, if we can just find the time.

Yeah, that the problem, isn't it? I don't have enough space to keep all my supplies in one place, so they're practically everywhere: crammed into the book cabinet, in the drawer of my bed, in a chest on the balcony and in whenever corner I haven't filled up yet. It's always a royal pain when I have to find something in particular.

I wish all of mine could be in one place. The box room is supposed to be getting converted in to a craft room, and it already has shelves that are packed with knitting yarn, but there are boxes of stuff in there too, and in what used to be mum's room, and on top of the shelves in my room, and on top on the ones on the landing, plus bags of wool, felt and stuffing on the landing... I really need to get on with using some of it up! There just aren't enough hours in the day for everything I want to do, and I can never find what I need anyway.

Haha, I know what you mean. There are three things I'd love to have and never will: a proper-sized bath-tub, a more professional oven and a craft room.

I'd like a kitchen big enough for a tumble dryer, lol!

My someday craft room was my older sister's bedroom when we were growing up. I never understood why she would want the smallest room, less than half the size of the other two bedrooms. It'll be cramped but maybe next year I can get it to a point where it's usable, even though half my craft supplies will have to remain elsewhere.

There's that, if I can ever get myself sorted out. Four people used to live here; now it's just me and I have no clue how we all fitted in here when I was kid.

Bärli is still cute - I esp. like his little vest ... :-)

I hope you'll get everything sold.

He was among the first things that got sold. A kid caught a glimpse of him, stood there for long moments, then gave his parents the puppy-eyed routine, and Bärli was gone.
