I gave in to Mum's nagging and we finally rearranged my wardrobe - mostly because I was tired of wearing the same two pullovers all the time. So I climbed onto the ladder (shaking secretly but hiding it, otherwise Mum would have done it, and that is magnitudes worse for my piece of mind), pulled forward all the warm clothes and pushed back all the summer stuff. These built-in wardrobes have lots of room inside, but they are set so high one has to climb to the top of the ladder to reach the upper shelves. *sigh*

At least now I have all my warm clothes on the lower two shelves, easily reachable when standing on a footstool - no ladders needed. Which is a relief.

Other than that, I made another Santa's sock and pinned on the necessary adornments to the other seven, cooked lunch and planned out tomorrow's cooking. I think that was enough heroism for one day.

Go you!
I'm lucky enough to have a wardrobe that is big enough, so I don't have to swap the clothes around.

That must be wonderful! Not just because of the swapping around; whenever I take something out, three or four other pieces are coming with it, so no matter how often I rearrange stuff, the wardrobe is always a mess. *sigh*

Yay indeed. After all that time at the school yard my tolerance against Lőw temperatures has vanished for good.

Ooh, my mum is like that too. If I don’t remember to do it when I visit, she changes her own light bulbs. It is terrifying. My tiny, little, frail ninety year old mum clambering up a ladder! Much better to have my shaky self doing it!
Good that you retrieved your Winter woollies. Stay warm!

Yeah, I know. Mum is 88 and frail like a little bird, too, but knows no fear when she wants something done.

Sounds like a real chore. You must have high ceilings in your apartment, nice in some ways as it makes the rooms look much larger and feel more spacious. However, high ceilings do make ladders a necessity, which can be quite scary.

Actually, the ceilings aren't very high. It is the bulit-in wardrobe that is high, though, and the shelves are fairly deep, do we need the ladder anyway.

I bet you're glad to have warm clothes swapped forward!

I have yet to swap my warm weather clothing. I've been making do with layering cardigans over my long-sleeved tees.
But for the past week I've been wishing I had my snuggly sweaters at hand. It's going to be near zero tomorrow. Brrrr. So I'd better get my winter stuff out.
