Yeah, well, after more than a year, I've finally managed to update Crossroads, my Battlestar Galactica/Original Trek crossover. Here is chapter 4, unbetaed and grammatically perhaps Teh Horror, but it's the best I can do:

The funny thing is that this is a novel I've actually written at lest six years ago - in German and Hungarian. Translating a single chapter is a lot worse than write a whole story directly in English.

Anyway, it's done now, and I'm very, very relieved.

Ohh, I feel tired just thinking about all the work you've put into this story! Writing and translating, how exhausting.

Yes, translating is a lot worse than writing. Plus, it leads to all sorts of grammatical oddities, as I can't free myself from those German grammar structures and they look really weird when they migrate into English.

This is a story I love very much - my first fanfic I've actually managed to finish. Basically, it's a romance between Lt. Uhura (TOS) and Colonel Tigh (Galactica), with battles, politics and all that stuff around. I call it "a love story with space battles". I've written it many years ago, and my writing skills have doubtlessly incresed since, but I still love it. It's just so damn hard to translate. *sighs*

You sound like you think the work is worth it, and I think your grammar is very good for a non native speaker. I know my grammar sucks. One day, I promise I'll read this story.

Oh, there's no need to hurry! It seems that I update it with a speed of two chapters a year, approximately... *g*
