Aka: why should you always, always check your craft supplies before you'd jump head over heals into a new project.

But let us start at the beginning. We participated on the talent competition with success, meaning that we can go on to the next level. It isn't a particularly important thing, but success is success, right? I didn't think it would be possible, but the average age of the other three competing choirs was even higher than our's. *g* Mum came to watch and to cross her fingers for us as she always does. She likes music, especially singing.

After that, we decided to go to the cemetery - which, in our case, is one only for urns, in the yard of a nearby church, so not a biggie. On our way, we made a stop at a craft shop, where I wanted to buy some pressed paper and styrofoam balls for the upcoming Advent decoration. I found on the inernet these little cuties:

I liked them so much, and they seemed so easy to make that I decided to make something similar from the box of Raffaellos someone who still can't remember that I don't like them gifted upon me for my birthday. Only, since Raffaellos are white, I decided to make little snowmen instead of angels. Now, I was very sure that I do have the right size pressed paper balls at home (2.5 cm in diameter), but I thought some more wouldn't hurt, so I bought ten of them. After that, we continued on to the cemetery, and after that we ate in one of the fast food restaurants because we really didn't feel like cooking.

Coming home, we collapsed and fell asleep in front of our respective tellies for a couple of hours. After that I started with the little snowmen. The box had 15 Raffaellos in it, so I happily made the first ten - faces and scarves and stuff - before digging out my supplies for the last 5. To my dismay I found that while I had lots and lots of 1.5, 2 and 3 cm balls, there wasn't a single one left with 2.5. Which means that I'll have to return to the craft shop tomorrow, although I originally had other plans for the morning. But past experience taught me that if I don't go back at once, they'll suddenly run out of the things and I won't get them until next Christmas.

Which is why I officially won't trust my memory in such things ever again!

I see you've found them. Cute, aren't they?
