So, the 60+ choir seems fun. Everyone is at least a hundred years older than I am, but they are not bad, musically, and they seem to enjoy what they are doing enormously. Fortunately, they are practicing a few pieces of music that I've already sung with our choir, so I'm not completely clueless, but I'll still have a lot of catching up to do. I don't mind, though, learning new things is fun, too.

They've been in existence since 2015 and apparently give concerts, too, even outside the city, so I'm looking forward to doing that as well. Since there are enough people in the choir (at least some 40 or so, compared with our meagre 23), the atmosphere of the practice is a lot more relaxed; due to the "masses" it isn't so that one voice would collapse if someone doesn't make it to the practice. We'll see.

That sounds promising indeed. With the choir being larger, I feel like it would also be easier for you to just give it a shot without feeling the pressure that you must stick around even if it isn't fun. Do you think you'll be going again next week?

It looks so at first sight, yes. Plus, it is merely two streets away, and in the morning, so I don't have to walk around after darkness, which is definitely a plus.

Isn't it? I hope the second impression will be every bit as positive as the first one was.

Congratulations on joining another choir! What a joy to have a lovely singing voice and friends to sing with :o) Wish I could be a fly on the wall.

It appears so, yes. Of course, this was just the first time, I'll hold back with my evaluation until I participated in a few more choir practices, but I do have a good feeling about it.

I certainly hope so. Singing is good for the soul. Plus, since I'm the greenest newbie there, I won't feel overlooked when other people get the solo pieces.
