This one was not so work-heavy, although it took me 3 days to finish, but more... finickly - is that a word? I mean, there were many little details, and I managed to do some parts in the wrong order, making my own life more complicated than necessary, but I'm still happy with the end results.

This is the original, again by the extremely talented Sviatlana Balybina.

And this is my version:

The colours are, perhaps, a tad less bright in RL, I probably over-edited the photo a bit to make the contours sharper, but not very much. And yeah, it can do everything the original can, so I'm very proud.

But of course! I've created a pretty place for them, haven't I? *g*

I love this entire project. Have been looking at the other posts about it. My granddaughter has just turned 1, and I am a pushover for all things baby:)

Well, quiet books aren't so complicated to make, really. You can even make them with the help of a glue gun, entirely without sawing. I for my part prefer things to be sewn on safely, though; I don't trust the glued-on parts to stick for good.

I wholeheartedly agree with the sewing method. I wouldn't trust a glued-on project in the hands (teeth) of the baby.
