Yahoo is acting up. It simply eats every post I make.
LJ is acting up. It logged me out randomly again and turned the language of instructions to Hungarian. I hate it when I have to start everythign from the beginning again.
Have been to Vienna. All shops that used to sell good sci-fi videos and books, now don't. All they are selling are violent comics, trading cards and godawful LOTR action figures. I hate action figures, regardless of the fandom. Especially if they take the place of good books and videos.
I haven't even dared to try and look what ff.net is doing right now. *shudders*
I almost lost my tax refound, because I wasn't at home when the postman delivered it last week. he left a note for me to go to the post office and pick up my money. The note got lost - either he let it fall or I did it when I threw away the silly advertisment sheets they always stuff our mailbox with.
Someone from the house found the note, but didn't bother to put it ino our mailbox until after a week - anonymously and with a nasty line written across it, telling me that I should throw my rubbish into the waste-paper basked, not onto the floor.
Do I really look such an idiot that I'd threw away an official note without it I couldn't pick up my own money that I desperately need? People can turn me into a homicidal maniac on some day. I wonder if the Erthsea books poor Ithilwen had mailed for me met the same fate. :((

Date: 2004-04-07 02:21 pm (UTC)I'm jealous! I've always wanted to travel to Vienna. Of course, I've always wanted to visit Budapest, too. Your city has a wonderful art museum.
Yahoogroups seems to be posting everything a day late, but it is making it to in-boxes, more or less.

Date: 2004-04-07 03:32 pm (UTC)As for Yahoo, it doesn't seem to want sending the posts to me either. Although *one* of them did turn out on another list, after all. Maybe this is what Xing calls "unlucky constellation of stars" or whatnot, whenever ff.net decides to crash...

Date: 2004-04-07 11:45 pm (UTC)I do have the same LJ problem as you. As for the language, I suspect that every time the site logs you out, it automatically turns back the language of the subtitles to that of the country where the user lives.
I dared to visit ff.net last night - it worked *then*. Which doesn't mean anything, of course.

Date: 2004-04-08 04:21 am (UTC)Pleased you enjoyed Vienna, even if the shops have gone haywire! A holiday is just what needed.

Date: 2004-04-08 05:05 am (UTC)But Vienna was truly beautiful. The weather was cool and sunny, and the Eastern market bigger than ever for the last few years. We bought lots and lots of chocolate bunnies and lambs, and other tasty treats, it was great. :)

Date: 2004-04-08 05:18 am (UTC)One day, when you manage to get over here, it has to be around Eastern. It's so much fun - and not so hot, either. You can have all the chocolate you want. :))
