Yahoo is acting up. It simply eats every post I make.

LJ is acting up. It logged me out randomly again and turned the language of instructions to Hungarian. I hate it when I have to start everythign from the beginning again.

Have been to Vienna. All shops that used to sell good sci-fi videos and books, now don't. All they are selling are violent comics, trading cards and godawful LOTR action figures. I hate action figures, regardless of the fandom. Especially if they take the place of good books and videos.

I haven't even dared to try and look what ff.net is doing right now. *shudders*

I almost lost my tax refound, because I wasn't at home when the postman delivered it last week. he left a note for me to go to the post office and pick up my money. The note got lost - either he let it fall or I did it when I threw away the silly advertisment sheets they always stuff our mailbox with.

Someone from the house found the note, but didn't bother to put it ino our mailbox until after a week - anonymously and with a nasty line written across it, telling me that I should throw my rubbish into the waste-paper basked, not onto the floor.

Do I really look such an idiot that I'd threw away an official note without it I couldn't pick up my own money that I desperately need? People can turn me into a homicidal maniac on some day. I wonder if the Erthsea books poor Ithilwen had mailed for me met the same fate. :((

Have been to Vienna.

I'm jealous! I've always wanted to travel to Vienna. Of course, I've always wanted to visit Budapest, too. Your city has a wonderful art museum.

Yahoogroups seems to be posting everything a day late, but it is making it to in-boxes, more or less.

Well, whenever you decide to come over, we can shcedule a good time together. You can stay with me (I can put up exactly *one* houseguest a time) and we can go to Vienna - it's only three hours from Budapest by train... rather comfortable. I know both cities quite well, so I can act as your guide. :))

As for Yahoo, it doesn't seem to want sending the posts to me either. Although *one* of them did turn out on another list, after all. Maybe this is what Xing calls "unlucky constellation of stars" or whatnot, whenever ff.net decides to crash...

Looks like I need to try re-sending the books. That way you'll end up with two sets when the first shipment reappears from the void as soon as the second one arrives.

That's very sweet of you *see hugs above*, but I really don't want to cause you any more trouble. :((

Too late - I've already ordered the replacement copies of the books, and will be mailing them to you as soon as they arrive. Maybe this time they'll actually get to you!

Welcome back! I hope Vienna was fun? As for Yahell, yes, it's lagging. LJ is STILL printing my instructions in English but still printing them up in the blue bar. I haven't been out to ff.net - too much computer time at work right now, so saving my eyes for Edhellond and the LJ community for the moment. As for the postal snafus, GRRRRRRRRR..... Balrogs will be dispatched promptly!

Oh yes, Vienna was definitely fun, although I can barely crawl now from exhaustion. I got soft and lazy, spending my life in the classroom and befor the computer screen.

I do have the same LJ problem as you. As for the language, I suspect that every time the site logs you out, it automatically turns back the language of the subtitles to that of the country where the user lives.

I dared to visit ff.net last night - it worked *then*. Which doesn't mean anything, of course.

I daresay that was the fate of the Earthsea books.

Pleased you enjoyed Vienna, even if the shops have gone haywire! A holiday is just what needed.

Yeah, I fear, too, that they got shanghaied somehow.

But Vienna was truly beautiful. The weather was cool and sunny, and the Eastern market bigger than ever for the last few years. We bought lots and lots of chocolate bunnies and lambs, and other tasty treats, it was great. :)

Now that's a thought. Mail theft is pretty big here. I do hope not.

All that gorgeous European chocolate, don't be sick!

Nah, we haven't bought that much of it. And I prefer very small chocolate figures, they're much more cute.

One day, when you manage to get over here, it has to be around Eastern. It's so much fun - and not so hot, either. You can have all the chocolate you want. :))

I guess you can eat a small figure all in one sitting too.

If ever I get over to Europe, trust me I will be trying to catch up with you:)

And the chocky..sounds lovely
