But again Sunday is always busy in our home. This time it started with getting to the grocer's early in the morning, ad that was the only time to drag home lots of bottled mineral water and ginger ale without getting heat stroke in the process. Temperatures are very high again.

Then I took Mum to church. While she attended mass, I went to tha Aldi supermarket snd did half the shopping. Brought the stuff home, then left again to pick up Mum, and we went to the Auchan supermarket (diagonally opposite direction) to do the other half of the shopping and habe lunch at Il Treno.

In the afternoon, I watched some telly (and fell asleep, as usual). Then I finis he'd an other doughnut-shaped keyring, this time using beads, so it took three times as long. Then I typed up the first part of my new TNG story. Then I made a cheesecake. While it was in the oven, I played solitaire online and read some Tolkien fanfic. Then I watched 'Forged in Fire', and now I am ripe for bed.

In other words: nothing worth mentioning really happened today. Seems to be a trend lately.

Do you have a little cart to bring the heavy things home in?

Nope, just shopping bags. Which is why I have to go repeatedly - save for the fact that all the food shops are in different directions and several types of food that we like are only sold (or sold for a reasonable price) in particular shops.

It wasn't so bad, really, it's just the background knowledge that one ought to rest on Sundays, you know. *g*

I'm still always surprised when someone goes shopping on a Sunday.

It has been established once the supermarkets started to stay open on Sundays. Saturday is for doing the laundry and cleaning, Sunday is for getting the food for the next week and eating outside.

Maybe nothing "worth mentioning" but you still did many things, it was a busy day, and it sounds like a very, very nice Sunday.

Not very nice, no. Useful, yes, but very tiring.

Not bad in that sense of things, no. But very exhausting, with the heat and all that.
