The big painting job started yesterday

The flat looks like a battlefield. All three rooms plus the balcony are filled with staples upon staples of china, cooking utensils, baking ingredients, table linens, washing products and whatever else was originally in the kitchen, in the panty cupboards, in the bath and in the loo.

It is frightening to see how much it is. And if I consider that the actual rooms will be a lot worse I really get a dreadful feeling. Bookshelves- and cabinets are the worst nightmare to empty... mostly because one never manages to get the things back in place as they were.

This particular turn of temporary insanity is supposed to be finished by Thursday. Unfortunately, weather forecast promises rain for next week, which means we might have to deal with the leaking balcony at the same time, too. *sigh*

I feel your pain. I've almost finished the decorating of my bedroom but have to put all the furniture etc. back tomorrow.

Preparation and cleanup is always the worst in renovations - sigh. Wish they could fix your balcony problems, having to deal with such every time it rains is absurd. :o(
