I've finished Chapter 27 of "Kansas 2 - The Yellow Brick Road". With this, I've officially reached the middle of the planned story - unless it spawns more chapters as it grows. I hope it won't. 56 chapters, some of them double ones, are more than enough.

I also bought a packet of handmade Little Birdie paper flowers, using one of the gift cards I got from a a class. Alas, I didn't find the exact same picture on the net, but littlebirdies.com has some truly beautiful stuff. Take a look. Fortunately, one of the craft shops I sometimes visit (because of the gift cards) has several versions of them. I foresee more cards used for this purpose.

I also went to the dermatologist to have the two small warts on my toes iced away. Well. Until now they were just there. Now, after the liquid nitrogen treatment they do hurt a bit. Which is funny, as I had liquid nitrogen treatment on my face repeatedly, and it never hurt. Apparently, one has thicker skin on the face than on the toes. Now I'm treating the poor toes with calendula salve, which helps with just about every such problem - I hope it won't fail me now!

BTW, "having thick skin on one's face" means in Hungarian that one is shameless, selfish and rude. What does this say about me? *g*

In the unfathomable depths of Epsilon 3, in the heart of the Great Machine, Draal was slowly recovering his strength. The task of moving Babylon 4 a thousand years back to the past had cost him almost everything he – and the Great Machine – had, and both needed time to regain their strength. But now he almost felt ready to take action again. Almost.

He had not been unaware of the things happening during his… absence of course. The Great Machine had recorded the dramatic events, and the Zathras brothers – now only nine of them – had watched everything in real time. He just had not had the chance to discuss the situation with the Zathrases – until now.

Well… discussing it would be too ambitious a word, to be honest. It was mostly so that the various Zathrases aimed long, confusing monologues at him – sometimes two or three of them at he same time – to describe said events from their own unique (and very peculiar) point of view, and he, with the help of the Great Machine, tried to put together the greater picture from the often controversial details.

He humbly admitted that it was sometimes more than a little burdensome. Despite having merged with the Great Machine, he was still Minbari enough to prefer the clear, spiritual way his own people – especially the Religious Caste – tended to think; and he missed the chance of getting answers to the questions he actually asked. But he was a patient soul, and with the help of the Great Machine he managed to filter out the facts from the chaotic mass of information provided by the Zathrases.

By today morning I had blisters, as if I'd burned them. So I switched to Bepanthen plus, and they're much better now. I think I'll learn to live with the warts - the cure is a lot worse than the problem itself.

Once I stubbed my big toe and cracked the nail across it. The doctor had to remove the entire nail for me, and I've never experienced anything quite as painful, although the one root canal and two births I've had certainly came close.

The doctor told me that because of nerve endings in the extremities, it can be very painful when surgery is done on them. I'll say!

Fortunately, the poor, abused toes are slowly getting better. Slowly being the key word here. When they are healed completely, I'l go to an herb shop and ask for something that is't so aggressive. A guy I used to know treated warts on his hands with some herbs successfully, without the fingers falling off, so I'm hopeful.

The handmade flowers look amazing! I've had warts removed via nitrogen on my fingers which stung a bit, never on my face though. Hope your toes feel better soon. Congrats on finishing the chapter. I read the bit you posted, and while not versed in the fandom, I enjoyed the reading. :0)
