Hard to believe, is it? After two ruined cover attempts and some torn pages while sawing them in (and yes, it was a PTA), it's finally done. Take a look at the cute front cover:

The rest of the new pics is behind the tag. There will be a master post, eventually, where I'll order the pictures the same way they are in the album, but not yet. Right now, I'm happy to be done.

The inside of the front cover with the first page of one of the beige sections

The end of the green section (that's the new part) and the beginning of the pink one. No attempt of editing made the graphics on the left side visible. *sigh*

And the back cover; a detail from the inside on the left and the outside on the right:

Next up: the Raffaello bouquet in pale pink. Yes, I am insane, why do you ask?

You're amazing! As much as I love crafting I don't think I'd have the patience for something like this. It looks beautiful, I'm sure the recipient will be delighted.

I hope so. There are some mistakes due to my basic inability to cut and glue on pieces straightly, but all in all it turned out well enough.

I've never met anyone who can cut and paste completely straight, I don't think it's possible, human hands just aren't that steady. When I make cards something always goes wonky, but no one's ever complained so I figure it's fine. Adds a touch of individuality.

That's one way to put it. *g* In that case all my works are full of touches of individuality. ;)

As they should be! You wouldn't want something handmade to look manufactured. *grins*

I don't think that will become a real risk, ever. *g*

Thank you. Sewing in the pages is always the hardest part, especially if one uses relatively thin paper (it was a necessity, I'll never do it again), but now that it's done, I'm mightily relieved.

I'm sure she will. She loves this sort of stuff - or else I wouldn't have started such a mammooth project. There are baby journals I can manage in one afternoon.

What a gorgeous piece of work. It's going to be a much loved family heirloom in Emma's household.

Are you ever going to do another one though :)

For the right person - any time! It's a labour of love, and for loved ones I am always willing to do such things.

Oooh, it is so precious! I love the decoration on the edges of the pages, makes it look so feminine and delicate. I cannot imagine sewing in the pages, sewing on paper that thin. As to small mistakes, that is what makes hand-crafted so special and unique as compared to machine perfect.

Well, it is certainly light years away from being machine perfect. *g*
But I'm very proud of it nonetheless. Even if some things didn't turn out the way I had hoped for.
