And I promised you a few photos, haven't I? I didn't take many, as we've been to this town several times by now, just a little bit of Easter feeling here:

The shop window of Vom Fass an oil, vinegar and spirits' shop:

Easter egg and bunny-shaped eggnog bottles inside the shop:

There actually were bottles that were really shaped like bunnies, but I couldn't get a good angle on those.

And this is our spread from the trip:

We've got a "Vom Fass" at the local shopping centre as well - I have to admit I've never bought anything there so far.

Manner ... so typically Austrian!!!

You should try Erdbeer-Limes, when it comes in late Spring/early Summer. We gave it a try and it was delicious.
I love Manner. You can get it over here, too, but only a few sorts. I have got a Manner pencil-case and Mum has got a Manner mug and a Manner umbrella. What can I say - we are fans!

We do. You should see the Lindt gold bunny exposition at Müller's or in the Vienna department store "Gerngross", though. That's a fantastic sight. I've posted a few pictures here (https://hu.pinterest.com/ekunster/my-travels/easter-in-vienna-2017/), although Pinterest has been a bit slow time and again lately. Like not showing the acutal pins at all. I've uploaded the pics to this entry an hour or so ago and everything worked just fine, and now it seems to be hiccuping again. So I can't link you to the 500 gr chocolate bunny at the moment. Sorry.

Edited because Pinterest striking makes me nervous every time.

Amazing, thanks for sharing. They had just a few of the bunnies on display at the local garden centre. I bought one for a friend's granddaughter.

I must admit an embarrassing fondness for chocolate bunnies. And for chocolate Santas. Fortunately, Mum shares my passion. Sometimes we give them away in the end, but we just love to have them line up on top of the piano and admire them. *g*

As I said to [livejournal.com profile] lindahoyland above, you should have seen the 500-gr Lindt gold bunny. One day I'll have to invest the money and buy Mum one. *g*

That about sums it up. Especially as Lindt chocolate is the best I've ever tried. And believe me, I tried a lot of different brands!

Lindt chocolate is very good indeed, but it's pricey so I usually eat Cadbury's.

Oh, it is unreasonably expensive everywhere. Which is why we usually eat Milka, it's fine, too. But sometimes we buy small pieces: for Christmas or Easter or other celebratory days. It's okay; at least we can still appreciate the chance to have it from time to time instead of getting too used to it.

When I was in the Hachez chocolate museum/demo place in Hamburg, the lady who lead the show told us that both Hachez and Lindt use very special cocoa bones hardly any other chocolate fabricant uses because it's expensive. Hachez is excellent, too, but I think Lindt still is a bit better.

Fascinating! I've never heard of Hachez, I guess it's not sold over here, but maybe I should treat myself to something by Lindt for Easter.

It is amazing. You can taste everything they have there in bottles and barrels, and the shops look wonderful indeed. There are in a lot of European countries, even in mine, as I've learned yesterday. If you google them, you might find one in your close proximity, too.

The shop with the bottles looks fascinating, so many different shapes and sizes. Would have liked to see the bunny shaped ones. :o) We can get Lindt chocolate here in the states (and I love it), but not sure if it tastes the same as what you guys get over there. All of what you bought looks delicious. I can't wait to shop for Easter treats here.

Apparently, "Vom Fass" is on Facebook, too, so perhaps you can find a picture of them. I'll take a look, too - the one who finds the pic earlier posts it. Deal? ;))

I am rusty at posting pictures on LJ, but searching on Facebook, I found that Vom Fass has a few shops here in the states - interesting. |Not sure which one had this on their FB site, but the album had lots of advertisement shots for different occasions and seasons. What a wonderful place :o)
