I've decided to make a particular embellishment today - one that I've been planning from the beginning, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to make. Well, fortunately, I was wrong.
*is proud*

It is, basically, a three-piece folded card. When opened, one can glue in baby pictures to the inside. When closed, it looks like this:

The above is the original picture, with the true colours. But it's a lot sharper when edited a bit, even though it makes the colours a tad more garish:

And there is yesterday's pink baby carriage in more detail. Original picture first:

Edited picture:

I put the pics under the tag because I know how annoying it is when one can't properly read one's Friends page because of the oversized photos. Clicking on a link isn't such a big effort, after all.

I also wrote a few paragraphs in the morning, went to the first senior gymnastics thingie (it wasn't what I hoped for) and then to choir practice. So, all in all, I consider it a useful day.

Very nice. Her mum is going to hold onto that for her.

Yes, I think she would. She's very appreciative of hand-made gifts. I've looked at dozens of YouTube vids, picking out the best ideas and adapting them for my purpose - I hope the journal would end up well-balanced. There will be lots of little pockets and bags where baby pictures can be put and the likes. At least that is the plan. We'll see what can I make work. *g*

They're beautiful! It looks like a lot of work, but such a wonderful result.

It was a lot of work indeed, and my sausage fingers don't make such delicate things easy, but I think it was worth it.

Very cute.

Too bad about the gymnastics thing.

Yeah, it is disappointing, especially as I paid for the course. Not much, granted, but still more than it is worth.

That really is so cute!

So - what about the senior gymnastics? Is it ... too senior?

And has nothing to do with gymnastics. Everyone was at least a decade older (or if they weren't, they looked like), and the woman who leads the course didn't win any sympathy points by me, either. I don't know what the person who suggested me the course saw in it... And in her. I'll give it another try or two, but if its remains the same, I will drop out.

I'm quite sure that she'll turn out a pretty baby, too, so it's only right, isn't it?

Thanks, I'm pleased how they turned out, too.
