“All right, so here's the big question,” Garibaldi said. “Now that we've shown them we can hurt them, how long till they come knocking at our front door?”

“That's what worries me,” Sheridan confessed. “Unless the Vorlons enter the melee, our chances are limited at best.”

“I won’t trust the Vorlons to move as much as a finger to help us; assuming they have fingers, of course,” Garibaldi said pessimistically. “This new Kosh is more hindrance than he is help, and we have no way to contact the others… assuming that those would be interested in helping us at all, Which is, frankly, not very likely.”

“But if we are on our own, we would need every single ship we have,” Delenn reminded them. “Even if we leave our homeworlds unprotected.”

“If the Shadows get the upper hand, the border patrols won’t stand a chance anyway,” Sheridan agreed.

“I shall present the proof that the Ancient Enemy has returned to the Caste leaders,” Neroon promised. “Shai Alyt Shakiri is a stubborn man, but he is no fool. If I can persuade the other Clan leaders, he will give in… for the time being, at least.”

“And if you cannot?” Delenn asked quietly.

Neroon shrugged. “The Star Riders and the Moon Shelds will send their ships in any case; and I hope I can win the Fire Wings for the case. We shall take what we can get and do our best. The rest is in Valen’s hands.”

I assume that most other people know Sheridan and Delenn as well as Garibaldi, since they belonged to the main cast.

How yummy to see some writing about B5. I have the first series on DVD but haven't been able to afford the rest yet. One of the TV channels ran the entire series last year and I enjoyed re-watching every episode.

All in all, it is a very good show, even though I still prefer Star Trek... mainly the original series and DS9.

I bought the first 4 seasons on videotape, back in the Stone Age, as well as Crusade and the TV-movies. Now I'm afraid to play them, out of concern that my aged video recorder/DVD player combo might gut them. Fortunately, I've got Season 5 on DVD.

Seven of Nine from yesterday's snippet got me interested. Today's snippet is a bit over my head, but I enjoyed the reading. I've now added both Kansas and Kansas 2 to my reading list, although Tales from Halabor and The Book of Mazarbul are still at the top. As of right now, I am struggling to re-read The Shoemaker's Daughter, not that I don't love the story, it's just that every time I start reading, I either get interrupted or fall asleep. I am having the same problem with movies. Dear husband gave me an Amazon Fire stick for Christmas and I now have more choice of movies to watch than ever before, I just cannot seem to stay awake while viewing them. There was one blessing from losing my expensive glasses, and that was I went to a new eye doctor. He was literally incredulous that I only wanted reading glasses and not also glasses for distance (which I have never been prescribed), as he said I have been driving, apparently for quite some time, using only one eye. Sure enough, when he covered my left eye, the eye chart to the right eye was one complete blur. I have apparently been straining my eyes for quite some time, which could account for my fatigue. Hopefully, when my new glasses (one for distance and one for reading) arrive, I will once again be able to read for hours on end without dozing. I can't wait!

I hope your new glasses will be doing the trick; it is very unpleasant when your eyes aren't up to the demands of daily life. All hail the new eye doctor!

Babylon 5 is a fairly complex show, it can be confusing when someone stumbles over fanfic without preparation. Seven of Nine would have been an interesting character, had the PTB not twisted her into a rather unmatching mix of femme fatale and deus ex machina.

I'm in the process of moving my stuff over to AO3 (under the same username) because there I can answer reviews on the review board itself... well, theoretically. Reviews are a rare thing over there, unless you manage to build up a large following, which I never managed. But at least you can delete all kinds of nasty reviews, regardless if signed or not.
