Got Preciousses from Jenn. Yayness! Never heard of the Dhampir books before, but they look interesting.

Preciousses from Ithilwen, however, are still swallowed by the black hole that is Hungarian postal service. :(( I hope it will spit them up, soon. Dratted blue flu. I'm all for union work and defending the workers' interests, but they shouldn't make my Preciousses vanish. *pouts*

Am on sick leave at least until next Monday. Which is good. I really feel like shit. My vocal cords are attacked, I'm coughing like a sick dog, my chest and back hurt, and I can't sleep because of the caughing. Now that I'm whining already, I can't speak much, either.

On he other hand, not being able to lie down (because of the caughing fits) helps me to put all that free time to good use. I have no other choice, really. So, I might be able to write Innocence 16 in these days, and probably even some Trekfic. And do some research and R&R. Though I'm better than most in the latter department,

All in all, I find that the good things outweigh the bad things. 10 days without school are great, even if one is sick.

Damn! Those books still haven't arrived yet? I mailed them weeks ago!

If they haven't arrived by April, let me know and I'll send you another set of books.

No, they have not. Otherwise I've already had told you. But I still hope they will. We had a semi-strike in the post centre where they sort out the parcels, so older ones probably are still stuck somewhere.

You don't have pnemonia, do you? Ugh, sounds like it to me! My hubby's had it two winters running. Whatever it is, it sounds nasty, but your books (if they ever arrive) should make you feel heaps better.

No, I just have a very bad case of cold, the doctor says. Nothing new. In my forgotten youth I had acute bronchitis for 15 years. Now that I am old it only comes once in every 2-3 years. But that's bad enough.

Aside from the fact that Hotmail is actung up again, of course.

Oh, poor thing. Bronchitis for 15 years! Is that some sort of record? I hope you're better soon and that hotmail fixes itself.

I mean, I got that dratted bronhitis from October to April each year, more or less continuously. Until I turned 16 and they removed my tonsils.

Ah, associated with tonsilitis *nods* I had that for 6 years too. Tonsils, no more problems till after I had whooping cough 15 years ago.

Dhampir... they be an exotic and ancient form of fishesesssss found in the riversessss of the Steppesesssss....

I'm glad the books finally reached you. I was just thinking today that if you're still sick, I wish the books would arrive in time to distract you. I once spent several feverish days with some sci-fi book or other, and the conjunctivitis was temporarily forgotten (I can't use the drug that speeds its demise) when I lost myself in "The Mists of Avalon" a few years ago.

I hope you enjoy them, and that good health has already found you, or if it has not, that you did not order it sent by parcel post.
