Welcome, 2019!
Jan. 1st, 2019 06:31 pmMay you be a kind year, for a change!

We had a quiet New Year's Eve with Mum. The program I watched on telly turned out not so good, after all, and most of the fireworks weren't even visible due to the huge 10-storey concrete buildings surrounding our huge 10-storey concrete building, so there was nothing to see. We had the traditional boiled sausages and I made my amateurish punch, and that was it, basically.
The New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra wasn't really enjoyable today, either. I remember it being amazing and wonderful and just the right amount of kitschy the previous years... this year it was just bland and boring. That, or we have lost our interest for it, I don't know. Still, it was a disappointment.
At least I've finished the long overdue next chapter to Kansas 2 - The Yellow Brick Road. Since I've begun to post the first part of the trilogy to AO3, I'm really glad about the achievement, hoping that I'll be able to finish the middle part eventually. It's all planned out, all 52 chapters of it; as soon as I manage to bring some semblance of order into this retired life, I hope to actually write it, too.
