'Cause I cannot take much of this preparation thingy. *is flattened*

Today I baked my last batch of Christmas cookies (the baking frenzy with the kids tomorrow doesn't count), and managed to burn two fingers on my left hand when taking out the last hot tin of the oven. It isn't very bad, but fairly uncomfortable. Especially as I had to finish those four dratted mini sewing kits, too. Photos tomorrow, I promise. Or the day after, as tomorrow promises to be very hectic again.

My day was basically spent with those activities. I could only manage all that sawing with the help of Star Trek and Stargate re-runs on German TV. Really needed something to get my mind off the dratted sewing. Grrr!

I made a few gift packages of Christmas cookies for some colleagues I'm friends with (this is beyond the three I baked large batches for). I think the little sacks are really pretty:

Each contains a colourful mix of about seven or eight kinds of cookies. I hope they'll like it, 'cause I really didn't have the time to make individual gifts this year.

I hear you on the burning your fingers thing ... happened to me when we made the cookies as well. And only at the weekend the skin on the finger started to peel ... I couldn't even remember anymore why!

Well, I cooled them almost an hour after it happened, then applied Bepanthen Plus salve and put a Pflaster on them (sorry, don't remember the English word right now), so I hope I'll get through the accident without serious after-effects.

Those are sweet little packages. Were there any ginger cookies in the mix? I hope your fingers feel better soon.

Of course there were! And that's what we're going to bake with the kiddies tomorrow, too. :)

My fingers don't actually hurt, I'm just wary about possible imfections, since one of them is currently developing a... errr, I don't think bladder or bauble would be the right word; in any case, it might open later and I don't want any dirt getting into it.

They really are pretty! Glad you got the sewing kits done, that's one big task done with.

I hope your hand gets better quickly.

I hope they will - tomorrow I'll have to prepare the dough for the baking with the kiddies, so that we'd finish in time, so I'll need my trusty hands.

Ouchie on your burns. Just the tiniest one hurts like crazy. The gift packages are pretty, I am sure your friends will love them!
