Our concert went very well. We managed to avoid any bigger glitches and even found a spot from where we could be heard singing the Hallelujah chorus over 35 teenagers playing trumpets, horns, clarinets, flutes and other rather loud instruments. We were very proud.

I've finished two of the promised mini sewing kits - only that they didn't went to the colleague who'd ordered them because other people needed to be given a small gift. Now I'll have to sew tomorrow, double speed. *sigh*

Anyway, here they are, first closed and then opened:

The one on the right is actually seamed with red thread. When my iPad doesn't mess up the colours, then the picture processing program certainly does. Ah, well, there are greater tragedies on Earth.

Tomorrow I'll attempt to make the last batch of Christmas cookies (Tuesday doesn't count because I'll be baking with 6th-term kids then). [livejournal.com profile] sallymn, I'll post the recipes for your sis afterwards.

I'd need a clever closing line for this entry but don't have a single working brain cell, save for the ones used for vegetative functions, so I'll leave it there. Good night, folks!

Oh man they look so nice but I feel sorry for you. You just can't make any headway with these orders!

But glad the choir went well. How's your cough, did you get through it alright?

Fortunately, people applauded a lot, and under that cover I could cough in peace. The cough haven't lessened a bit since its start, alas.

The other four sewing kits are done to various degrees, but I have one (or three) thing(s) to finish them yet.

Thank you. It is very fussy work - I need three to four hours for one, every step counted, and my fingers hurt already. They're made of very hard felt, so that they'd keep their shape.

Still, they look great and I'm sure the people you are making them for will really appreciate them.

Thanks. They're neat, yeah, and they sold like crazy, but they're also a lot of fussy work.

Yeah, I'm fed up with the whole thing. Fortunately, the other four are done now. Not making another one of those for a loooooooooooong time.

The sewing kits are lovely! I can see why everyone wants one. Wish I could have heard the concert, glad to see it went well. Sorry about your cough, they always do seem to linger long after the actual cold is gone.
