Busy day, I'm having busy, busy days
Dec. 10th, 2018 07:57 pmAnd that with the chiropodist cancelling our appointment in the last moment! Well, I used the time to write the price tags for my wares for the charity fair - pretty wares need pretty price tags, right? - and to finally take photos of all my Christmas-themed pocket letters.
I don't want to litter your friends page with a dozen overlarge photos, so you can view the entire bunch here: https://hu.pinterest.com/ekunster/my-journals-cards-boxes/pocket-letters/
I also took two large boxes of cookies to school, for two colleagues, since I was going in anyway, to bake with the eighth-term kids. They were very happy, and I ended up volunteering to bake small figured biscuits for the guest choir that will sing with us on Sunday. Yes, I know I'm insane. But our poor choir leader couldn't figure out what to give them as a welcome gift (they are children with various kinds of disablement, you know), and she gets neither money nor any other kind of help from the school for that, so I thought I could be of a little assistance. So I promised to make the dratted thing, to take the pressure off her - at least we'll be done with the charity fair by then.
The baking with the kids went well. They ruined my one-hand flour sieve in the process, but I was fortunate to find one at Pepco's for half the price I'd have to pay at Auchan's. Baking is an expensive hobby. *sigh*
Coming home, I prepared the grilled sandwiches for tomorrow. Mum and I are going to Linz, to the Advent fair(s), and as the train trip takes 4 hours there and another 4 hours back, we'll have to need some sustenance. As Heidi would say, you need a lot of food when travelling. *g*
So, it was a well-spent day, but I'm just a bit flattened now. Time for an early turn-in, as tomorrow we'll have to get up at an ungodly time.
