... and that including the current one!

I had a busy day - for a change. I baked 3 different sorts of Christmas cookies today; for ourselves as well as for my colleagues. I'm up to 6 different sorts at the moment and not halfway done. Yes, I am insane, I think we've established that fact long ago.

Take a look at the products so far (sans the Stempelkekse, I've posted a pic of them earlier):

My annual bad cold has also arrived, full force. It's actually pretty late, due to the unusually warm October and early November that we had. But I knew it would catch up with me eventually. It always does. I'm desperate enough to drink actual tea, so you can imagine how dire the situation is.

When my mom was a school librarian she baked up to 20 different kinds of cookies every year.

My single record is 30 different kinds, but I never did that again. Still, up to 10 or 12 is the average pre-Christmas baking frenzy in our home. *g*

We've made 9 different kinds ... but we're done now. 2 kinda still need frosting ...

Wow, you are truly adventurous! I haven't reached the middle way yet, but I didn't really have the time, either, with all the Christmas preparations, dissolving my "household" at school and [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo running. Now, though...

That would be wonderful indeed. Unfortunately, decades-long experience suggests that it will take a couple of weeks at least. *sigh*

But since I only have to work two more days next week, I'll have the peace to recover, and that's worth much!

Ugh, no fun. I am sorry to hear that. My colds tend to be the same way as well when I get them. Do you have asthma as well that is induced by when you have a cold?

That's wonderful! Only 2 more days to work, and that should help out. Wishing you all the best in your cold recovery!

No, no asthma, just a stubbornly recurring bronchitis I haven't been able to shake off in the last 60+ years.
Thank you for the good wishes. :)

That just plain bites. (I have asthma myself when I get sick, so that's why I was wondering). I hope it shakes off quick this year for you.
You're welcome! :-) ♥

I hope so, too. I've got a lot on my plate for the next fortnight, so being ill is not something that would be practical.

I love baking. It relaxes me very much, even if I'm physically exhausted at the end.
