... and I've been very busy already.

The finished Naming Day gifts for the two Elizabeths: pocket letters and hand-made candy in gift boxes:

Closer looks at the hand-made candy in cellophane bags:

Another batch of the candy in a large gift box:

And finally the Christmas tree candy as it's supposed to look when it isn't transformed into different gifts (we traditionally hang these things on the Christmas tree:

I also managed to write a bit this morning - only two pages, but they were important, as they served to bridge Dwobbit over to an older story, Innocence.

And now I'm at work, waiting for it to be over. *g*

Well, I don't know if they can be called really truffles - it is a mix based on sugar syrup with added dark chocolate, chopped nuts, lemon zest, milk powder and biscuit crumbs, covered in chocolate icing. But they are dangerously yummy.

The packaging in tissue paper and tinfoil is tradition; you can buy the things wrapped this way, too, but making them is more fun.

Another old custom I never saw anywhere else but in Hungary and Transylvania.

I've always wanted to make my own chocolates but never had the energy or time. Those look awesome.

These are not so complicated to make. I can give you the recipe and the instructions if you want. Sans the icing they're done in about an hour and a half. Then they have to rest and dry for a day before getting iced and decorated.

Thank you. I enjoy crafting greatly; if only it wouldn't interfere with my writing time! But in two weeks' time I'll be a retired citizen and can do as I please.
