... and I've finished the Christmas needle book project. Here they are, the little darlings:

And this is what they look like through the chrome filter:

I can't really decide which version I like better. Both have their charm, don't they? In any case, it was a gargantuan amount of work and I feel like a punctured balloon at the moment. Switching to paper crafts is almost a relief, even though I have a Christmas explosion box, half a dozen Christmas-themed pocket letters and an advent calendar on my plate right now.

As for birthday presents, the parcel of [livejournal.com profile] the_wild_iris has arrived, I just didn't have the time to fetch it from the post office (they don't deliver stuff at all nowadays), I've got a lovely e-card from [livejournal.com profile] lindahoyland, a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates from a colleague and more paid LJ time from my dear friend [livejournal.com profile] mirasaui. I'm spoiled rotten and enjoying every moment of it!

Both pics look lovely but I really like the effect of the chrome filter, again

So do I, even though it tends to take the colours away from the true spectrum.

Thanks, I'm quite pleased with them, but I'm also glad they're finished. My poor fingers need a break from the needle.

I know what you mean, I have thick callouses on my fingers from all the quilting I do. And I still manage to prick myself...

The colours are clearer on the second photo. They are lovely.

Thank you. They were a lot of work, so I hope they'll bring in a good price on the charity fair.

Thank you. :) Making them made a lot of wasted time at school more bearable.

Neat. They both look good, but maybe I like the second one better by a little.

The chrome filter creates nice effects, even though the colours aren't always true.
