... and at least the central heating started, almost 3 weeks earlier than its regular time. It isn't overwhelming, we aren't sweating in the flat (we rarely do, in truth), but at least the pipes are lukewarm and we are no longer freezing. Temperatures are rising a bit, although weather forecast "promises" another cold front and lots of rain for Saturday. Joy, joy, joy.
We are struggling with the new e-class book system. It is incredibly slow, because the authorities have forced every single school to switch to it and I think the servers simply can't deal with all the traffic. It is also a lot less logical than the old system was, with a great deal more unnecessary work. Thank God I only have to deal with it for 9 more weeks. It is bad enough for such a short time.
Other than that, not much is happening over here, although I'm told that no news is good news. I'm trying to keep up with the daily posts because I know I'll want to remember how I spent these last months at work later on, but there isn't really much to report.
I just wish my LJ friends of old hadn't vanished into thin air. I'm happy to have found new ones, but it's saddening not to hear anything from people some of which I'd even met in real life. Ah, well, keeping up a friendship always needs a mutual effort and apparently, they don't find keeping in touch worth the effort. :(

Date: 2018-09-26 05:14 pm (UTC)I hope that you continue to stay comfortable. I remember the heat going off in our London flat and freezing. We actually were able to get it back on, but our friend in the flat next door never did.
