I agree about older friends on LJ. It was nice to be able to meet up with them and just get to know each other off line. Now, it's gone. I love my new friends, but I miss my old ones, too.
I hope that you continue to stay comfortable. I remember the heat going off in our London flat and freezing. We actually were able to get it back on, but our friend in the flat next door never did.
