... and I made a good start into the new week.

I started with making some decent headway with my needle book project, which had to take place on the back burner behind the mini sewing kits, right in the morning.

Then I wrote a couple of pages for Chapter 12 (currently untitled) of the Dwobbit fic. I'm glad I could move on from Chapter 11 which is with the lovely and selfless [livejournal.com profile] lindahoyland right now, as it needs a wary eye, being somewhat uneven and repetitive. In Chapter 12 I could finally add some new stuff, and that is a relief. I hope I won't get stuck with it again.

Furthermore, I made some colleagues very happy by taking some of yesterday's plum pie with me to school and offering it them. My baking is quite popular among them, and they needed a morale boost right at he beginning of the new week.

As I'm currently reading ungodly amounts of Hobbit fics (much of them fairly horrible, but still...) I came upon something that finally sounded interesting, based on the summary. I started to read it, and it seemed strangely familiar. In fact, it was supiciously similar to my own story, Elf-root. After a couple of paragraphs I was certain that my story has been plagiarized, so I opened another window and called up Elf-root. The wording was the same, the story was the same... I was beginning to grow really angry and made thoughts about how could I report the theft. So I took a look at the author's name - only to realize that I was actually reading my own story!

I think that speaks clearly about my frame of mind right now! *g*
