I've finished the last crafting WIP - so I can make thoughts about the next project. *g*

The finished box from the outside, with lid:

And this is what it looks like when opened:

I didn't take an extra photo from the inner layer, as it is completely unadorned on the outside. I thought there was enough decoration everywhere else.

I also wrote a bit on the new Dwarf story, had nice phone conversations with two beloved colleagues and created lunch from leftovers. We had zucchini cream soup with noodles carbonara - or something close to it. As usual, I made too much, so tomorrow we won't have to cook. A good thing in my books, actually. *g*

Awww the box is so cute!

Zucchini cream soup sounds delicious, still had zucchini left over? :D

Yes, we got one from our neighbour whose mother-in-law grows these things in her own garden. The one we got had the size of a baby oliphaunt; we ate twice from the layered stuff and will eat twice from the soup - not a bad thing, economically.

That's true! It's nice when veggies last you quite a while, though I figure afterwards you'll be sick of zucchini for a while

The good thing about zucchini is that it's more or less without any flavour. So you can season the dishes any way you want and have something new each time. *g*

Thanks. It was a lot of work, to tell the truth, but I enjoyed every moment of it. Well... save for the moments when the double-sided tape stuck to the wrong places and I had to redo parts of the decoration.

Is that a wee slipper in the middle?

Indeed - one of the two parts of the box I didn't make myself (the other one is the bow on the lid - I'm hopeless with those).

We bought the little slipper two years ago in Austria, at pre-Christmas times, ate the tiny little chocolate bars within and found the wee thing too cute to throw away. So I put it away with the other craft-related things, saying that it will be good for something one day. And I was right!

The original design of this box foresaw a snowy staircase with little parcels in the middle, covered in cotton wool, cotton wool and even more cotton wool. It was insanely complicated to make and the effect was not very interesting. I thought the slipper would be much better.
