Vacation diary Day 3

We had another day of leisure. After a late breakfast we went to the railway station to buy the tickets for our day trip to Krems tomorrow. Then we returned to the One Euro Shop that is about to close due to redecorating and therefore sold everything for half the original price. Mum bought small gifts for her friends and I bought cork stuff originally meant to go under beer glasses or whatnot, but I'm going to make Christmas ornament of them for the charity fair.

We had our customary soup lunch at the hotel restaurant, then we made a two-hour break. Mum slept, I watched some telly (and also slept while doing so). Then we went to Hager's for coffee and had ice cream at the Mu ice cream bár where you can combine and decorate your ice cream how you want and pay for it according to weight.

By then it was half past six and we returned to the hotel because Mum wanted to watch the WM finals. She likes soccer (I find it boring) but is very unhappy for the moment, as England doesn't seem to be in a winning position.

As I said, tomorrow we'll go to Krems an der Donau, which is a lovely little town. Weather forecast promises pleasNtly warm weather with no rain, so we are hopeful.

Tell your Mom I had been cheering for England, too, and am sharing her unhappiness that they lost.

Looks like you had a lovely day. I think a day of leisure sounds really nice, it's your vacation, you deserve to take it slow.
