Real Life and its lovely shades of grey...

Just when the flu finally leaves the green fields of Hungary, I manage to catch a cold, big time.

Tomorrow, the headmistress of our school will visit my English class to check on the quality of my work. *shudders*

I've done too much research on the new Sons of Gondor story arch, and now my brain is freezed. I had to watch some Crusade videos to unburden my mind.

Note: Spending three days with the various Lords of Gondor's provinces and think up family relations and a personal background for them isn't good for one's mental health. Now I can't get out of my mind Forlong the Fat, a friendly, Falstaff-like figure, played by John Rhys-Davies, who seems very happy not being a Dwarf anymore but a big Man who had four wives and two mistresses during his life. Yes, Henry VIII served as an isnpiration, but Forlong didn't have his wives killed.

Sorry, too much information, I know. Be thankful that I don't go on with Angbor the Fearless or Hirluin the Fair, who might or might not have Elven blood and might or might not be a lover of men. That guy is really, really hard to figure out.

All right, shutting up now. Will take an aspirin, some nose drops, some healing salve for aforementioned wounded nose (after having blown it too often), go to bed and watch some more Crusade.

Thanks, but I have this really strong minty salve with which I smear my chest and mother smears my back, plus Aspirin+C, so I'll manage. As we say it, the problem with colds is that with the help of a doctor they go away in a week, but without a doctor they can last as long as seven days. With other words, the only thing you really can do is sit it out.

Of course, it would help hadn't I need to go to work, but that's something that couldn't be helped. I'm not sick enough to stay at home.

Oh, that's always the worst, being sick enough to feel like dog doo-doo, but well enough to work. *bleh* I think there should be like...semi-sick days, where you can go in late or leave early...*Grin*
