So, we had this party in our flat (53 square metres, including balcony!), to say farewell to one colleague who's retiring and one who simply goes to work in another school. There were 8 people, plus Mum and me, and it was great fun, with cherry/cheesecake squares, walnut/plum jam slices, cheesy buns, beer and fruit juice in great quantities. The guests stayed 5 hours long.

We had the official farewell encounter at school, which was less fun, but it gives me the opportunity to post pics of one farewell gift I haven't posted yet. It went to a third colleague, also retiring.

So, this is a small (paper) travelling bag, plus a card:

The back side of the bag and the card opened look like this:

MMM found the gift thoughtful and was very pleased with it.

I don't see how she couldn't have loved it. It's darling!

Thanks. She really liked it. She loves crafting, too; she makes jewellery. I've got several bead bracelets and a necklace made by her. She does lovely work.

Oh, it was! I love having my colleagues over, even if it means a lot of work.

I love cards that fold open. The flowers are very lovely :-)

Thank you. :) they are a bit uneven, as I made them by hand, but I'm fairly pleased with the card anyway.
