It's been ungodly hot lately, and I had to spend endless hours at work without anything meaningful to do - not really good for writing, but very handy for crafting. I made some more cards and an explosion box Mum has asked for, since one of her friends had name-day lately.

Let's start with the cards; nothing really artistic, just playing with paper application:

As always, the quality of the photos is modest at best; alas, I can't compare myself with [livejournal.com profile] lindahoyland and her photo magic. You can enlarge the pictures by clicking at them for details.

And now the box. This is what it looks like when closed:

And the same when opened:

More photos of the various phases can be found here:

Currently, I'm working on two more explosion boxes as farewell gifts for two beloved colleagues who're going to retire within the month (the lucky dogs!) and hiding in shame from the [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo crowd for not having done any quality writing lately.

Love your box.

I'm very lucky in my camera. I couldn't craft like you because of my arthritic fingers for a start.

That's a shame; but it's just a hobby, after all, and there are many other possible hobbies.
My fingers are rather thick (sausage fingers), so I've got my own difficulties with small, delicate details, not to mention the fact that I tend to cut crooked lines and seem unable to glue on the parts straight enough... *g*
