Long-term planning of farewell gifts
May. 28th, 2018 09:23 pmSo God will, I'm going to retire in December. *fingers crossed* Since I like most of my colleagues a great deal, I'm planning to make farewell gifts for (almost) everyone. I'm going to make very elaborate cards, as it's a good way to put my several tons of paper rests to good use, and besides, they're amazingly variable.
Below you can see the first 4 I've made during the weekend. I used no more complicated tools than scissors, a paper cutter, two different sizes of motive punchers and some glue.

The two in the upper row are very simple in the inside, I just added some light blue paper, with the moderately successful results of my first attempts to do stencil work. Not worth a photo.
Number 3 has a so-called flipping card or waterfall card in the inside and looks like this when it's closed:

And like this when it's flipped open:

Number 4 has a 3D flower in the inside, which opens when the card is opened. This is my very first attempt at such a thing, and I freely admit that it isn't perfect, but I'm pleased enough with the result:

So, 4 cards done, 60-some to go, but I've got half a year to go crazy with creativity. *g*
