... even though I got two more sick days from the doctor. She meant I shouldn't risk re-infection, now that the chest pain is almost gone, and I didn't fight her. Sure, I feel guilt towards my colleagues, but it wouldn't help them much if I went back too early and ended up on sick leave again.

So, I'm getting better, and the upside of it is that I now have the energy to do some things I didn't feel up to lately.

I've finished another chapter to The Immunity Syndrome and started the next one. I hope to type it up tomorrow morning. *fingers crossed*

I've started my Nautilus explosion box, a maritime theme, as a gift for my colleague, a science teacher. Biology is her favourite field, so I hope she will like my gift. The outer layer of the box is nearly done, so I hope I'll be able to post some photos, soon.

I baked my usual cheesy buns - even though they ended up a bit tougher than usual, I have no idea why. I did everything exactly the same way as always. My Granny used to say that the flour can influence the outcome, but I never experienced anything like this before.

And I cooked a cauliflower dish, baked over in the oven with carbonara sauce. It was an experiment, but one that turned out very well. You can check it out here:

So, that's from me today. Not much, I know, but I promised myself that I'd update my journal more regularly, especially when I actually have the time to do so.

Taking these two more days off definitely sounds like a good idea! You've been sick for so long, might as well make sure you are all done with this now instead of starting the cycle all over again.

The Nautilus box sounds very fun!

Huh, sounds like we both have had some dough trouble lately. Last yeast dough I made was so runny I ended up pouring something like 200g more flour into it than was on the recipe just so it wouldn't be like glue. Then ended up with a very dry cake. I don't know. Bought a different brand of flour so I'll see if the next cake goes better.

It must be the dough indeed. IIRC, it is a different brand than what we usually use - just because I was sick and couldn't go to Auchan's, so I got the cheapest sort on my way home from the doctor's. Still was considerably more expensive than the one we usually buy.

Looks like it, at least in your case! In mine I'm confused, I used the same store brand I always use. And sure results vary, but this was an extreme case! I've now bought some brand flour, we will see how that goes.
