Should I laugh or should I weep?

Or: more sick days. At least two more, although the doctor said she would keep me at home till the end of the week if I wanted. I'm still of two minds about it. On the one hand, I'd like to heal completely before going back to mindless slave labour. On the other hand I don't want to miss so many working days; it's not good financially, I feel sorry for the colleagues who'll have to do my work aside for theirs, and frankly, I miss the kids.

So we came to a compromise: I'll go back the day after tomorrow, the doctor will take a look at me and she'll decide if I should go to work on Thursday or not.

Today I put the unexpected free time to good use, for a change. I finished the ongoing chapter of "The Immunity Syndrome" and started the next one. I hope to finish the whole story in two more chapters; that would be grand. Then I could go back to translating "The Sins of the Mother", my Classic Trek/Original BSG crossover, which is also overdue.

{hugs} I know the feeling... I have to go to the doctor today (have done something to my knee) and I don't think I'll be back at work for a few days.... and I know how busy it is so feel the guilts :(
