Good news and not so good ones

I finally finished the explosion box with chocolates for my goddaughter's birthday - the one based on the video posted on January 1 here. Mine is a bit different - perhaps not quite as professional as the one on the video - but I'm quite happy with it nonetheless.

The one on the bottom shows the lid, decorated with hand-made laces that my Grandma crocheted, back in the Stone Age. We found a whole plastic bag of those on the bottom of the wardrobe, in different sizes, so I'm really happy.

And I tried my hand on the so-called shutter cards, and although I managed to glue on the decorative panels upside down, I still like it:




The not-so-good news is that I managed to get a cold on the dratted school yard again, so the lovely bronchitis is back. Not bad enough to stay at home with it, but bad enough to rob me of my much-needed sleep and make me miserable. *sniff*

What a gorgeous box but damn it I'm so sorry about your bronchitis. It could at least have the decency to earn you some sick days if it's going to torment you. Halt die Ohren steif!

If it doesn't get better till the morning I'll go and see the doctor. I'm not getting pneumonia just so that the kids can play football!

Thanks. This misery has been going on for almost a month by now, but it's just taken a definite turn to the worse - I'm fed up with it!
