According to my late Granny, the things you do on New Year's day you'll keep doing on the following year. If that's true, I'm looking forward to a really busy and creative year! See for yourself - links only because Pinterest steadfastly refuses to show my own pictures, at least the newly uploaded ones.

So, I baked a cocoa-and-rum flavoured tart with sour cherries (mainly because I accidentally opened a jar of preserved sour cherries, believing them to be jam and didn't want them to go bad - Mum made soup from the rest):

I also did lots of crafting, experiencing with various sorts of sliding cards. The Easter motif is admittedly a bit early but I didn't want to go backwards and make Christmas themed ones.

Firstly, a simple sliding card which I adapted from a Valentine greeting for easter.

Secondly, a window slide card, originally also Valentine themed, but I find it works well enough for Easter, too.

And a closer look at the little bunnies hiding behind the windows:

I also started making a vintage explosion box with chocolates, based on this video:

But I messed up right at the beginning, so I'll have to go to the crafts shop and buy some new scrapbook paper because none of the several tons of coloured paper I have at home are the right size. *sigh* I hope this is not prophetic for the crafting outcomes of the upcoming year.
