This is a list I've been planning to put together for weeks. Obviousl, I'm a "little" distracted. So, here we go.

Books I need to read in English:

The Prydain Chronicles by Larry Alexander
Gemma says they are out of print right now, but maybe my slightly crazed translator/publisher friend can find electronic versions somewhere. He can hunt down the weirdest things.

Discworld by Terry Pratchett
I need to understand what people are talking about on all those forums. Which is the reason why I can't read the books in Hungarian - they translate the names. But aforementioned friend offered me electronic versions.

Harry Potter, all volumes
Maybe if I read the original instead of the horrible translations, I might find a liking at them. Right now, I prefer the movies. Which is a shame for such a book nerd as I usually am, but, well, the translations are godawful. The same friend offered me electronic versions, so we'll se.

The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
Check. I've just bought a selection. Classics are easier to get. I'm a little afraid of the language and the format, but after having shouldered Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe it should be doable. Theoretically.

Spock's World and The Romulan Way by Diane Duane
For me, the best Vulcan/Romulan fanon trivia ever. Crazy friend can lend me paperback copies. Hurrah!

And then, there are of course some books I need to have, sooner or later.

Encyclopedia Galactica
Lots of fanon trivia to the Battlestar Galactica series. Exists only in second-hand, for horrible prices. But crazy friend might be able to hunt down an electronic version for me.

The Prydain Chronicles by Larry Alexander
Well, duh, I do want them in real some day. Maybe when we finally make it into the EU and switch to the Euro (2008 is the earliest possible date), I'll be able to buy them second-hand. Or they'll print them again.

BTW, I googled a little for the things, and found a fascinating Prydain website. Now I'll have lots and lots of fun. One day I might even write some fanfic to it. When I've read all the novels. And that little collection of short stories called The Foundling, if I'm not mistaken, which I haven't even read in German yet.

The Road Goes Ever On by Tolkien
About the only thing that is still missing from my Tolkien collection, as far as I know. I mean, the only thing related to the Ardaverse. Must ask crazy friend to do some hunting.

Oh, and Júlia Sebestyén has just become European Champion in figure skating. Go, Hungary!
