This one is embarrassingly easy, including the cover. I've already put together half the pages and going to make this one during the week.

I'm adding the link additionally, as the embedded videos never seem to survive the process of being imported to DW:

It is. I just made my own envelope journal for the wedding of a young colleague. The others agreed to prepare small personal messages and congratulations that we can put into the envelope pockets, while I'm going to decorate the front sides of the envelopes. It will be a wonderful wedding gift from us all, I think.

Pics will follow, soon.

Add a cross tie ribbon and bow and it becomes a wonderful keepsake journal.

Err... what is a cross tie ribbon?

Oh, well you use one ribbon to tie a package both lengthwise and widthwise, thus crossing it in the process, Hence, a cross-tie.

Oh, I see. Thanks for enlightening me.
I actually planned to punch two holes into the covers and tie the journal together with a ribbon, but then decided against it because the cover turned out barely as big as the pages and I didn't want to ruin them.

That is when a cross tie ribbon comes in handy!

That looks wonderful, just the sort of thing people like me and my family would go for :) except that I am totally all thumbs and hideously uncrafty

It is really, really simple! I made the envelope pages in a little less than two hours, but it actually takes about half an hour, unless you are such an idiot as I am and forget which direction you have to turn the envelopes while sticking them into each other. The cover took me about an hour this morning. I'll post some pics when the decoration is finished.
