Unfortunately, she didn't tell how she made it, although I'd just love to make one using old photos from the young years of my Mum and Granny. Or rather the scanned-in varieties of them as I would never butcher the originals. I understand that she used a lot of lace (paper lace most likely, but that's about all I could figure out.
Or this one, although both are impossible to make without very special materials and equipment. But they are pretty to look at, and at least they're both in German. *g*
