Look at my cute snowman!

It's been made of paper balls, glass beads and a used Nespresso capsule. Not yet perfect, but for a prototype not bad, I think. It isn't quite finished yet, either - it will have a broom in the hand and a podest made of those circular paper boxes for cheese, in which the sweets will be. I'll post another pic from the finished product eventually, but I wanted to share this phase. *g*

He is very cute and I love the Nespresso hat! Did the inspiration for him come from the Nespresso capsules? Sometimes I see certain types of packaging and I think it such pity to throw them away (even into the recycling) because they are such a well-crafted little containers and I just wish I had some other use for them.

You can make incredible things out of Nespresso capsules! Check out my Nespresso crafts board on Pinterest for a few ideas:

Some of them are well beyond my skill, but I do like making little figurines. The snowman was a fairly new idea; I mostly did little people and angels and Easter bunnies before.

Lots of pretty things! Cleary lots of folks think them too shiny and cute to toss away! :-D

It is better so for the environment, too!

Cute, isn't he? I'll have to find a better solution for the carrot nose and use a different glue that won't discolour the paper balls, but other than that I'm fairly content.

So charming! And I love the way you have "repurposed" what would otherwise be a piece of plastic in the garbage: making a coffee capsule into a very handsome hat!

Most of them are still made of aluminium - the plastic ones are mostly useless. You can't bend them, can't punch holes into them... Although they can still be made into hats.

Cute & clever! :)
To paraphrase a Dr Who quote
Who looks at a Nespresso capsule and thinks "this makes a cute hat"? ^_^
It works well for the little guy. :)
