No, it is Blätterteig. I think it is called puffy pastry in English or something similar. I bought the frozen version on the supermarket, it is easier so.
"Puff pastry" is the English/American term. Definitely best bought in the store, IMHO, unless one really has the knack for such things. Your recipe sounds delicious!
