Jesus, I haven't posted for almost two weeks? That's a new low, even for me!
To my defence, I was completely swamped over with school work and sewing little felt bunnies and lambs and chickens for friends and colleagues for the last couple of weeks. Aside from little Theo's baby mobile with the sea creatures, I made over 40 felt items, which you can see
here.

Truly, I hardly did anything else in these days. But I think the little cuties were worth the effort.

Knight Knut was a heavy piece of labour. I worked on him for five days!

I could see it. My goodness, there was so much detail, but he is very beautiful!

It was like writing a story, really. I got new ideas after finishing each detail. There were times I thought I would never get it done.

I wonder if he will become a character in one of your stories? That happened to me with one of the pictures I did for NaArMaMo last summer, which wasn't at all my plan when I drew the picture. (Maybe you will consider doing NaArMaMo, too, this summer?)

I might write a children's story about Knight Knut one day - in German, most likely. We'll see.

What is NaArMaMo?

NaArMaMo is like pico for art. It stands for National Art Making Month. The group on LJ that I know about, do it in August. So, every day in August one posts a picture and any explanations one wishes to include about process and so on as to what art one has done that day. The goal is to do some art each day of the month.

I really don't think I could produce a new piece of art every day. My felt work usually takes several days - there was that octopus I worked on for two whole weeks - and paper embroidery is time-consuming, too.

What a lovely collection! -- what little Pinterest would let me see before putting their big promotional display across the screen... grrr.... Some of your pieces remind me of the felt ornaments my mother made that have hung on my parents' tree since I was a wee one myself. Thanks for the lovely display -- and the chance to revisit happy memories.

I'm still ill - they've done loads of blood tests on me and so far only found low vitamin D, I have an appointment with a doctor next week and will find out what they are doing to do next (I suspect Vit D tablets and another blood test after some amount of time). However, it might be that that'll fix it (I can hope - especially as the weather is getting better as it gets out of Winter, and so if I can manage to be outside more I can get more Vit D directly).
Anyway, it means that I haven't been around much as I'm been using most of my energy on trying to get done the general everyday things that need doing, and then mostly reading with bits of crafting. (and everything else in small bits, especially things that require much thought or interacting with people)
